Bucket hat. Does it look good on me? I know it’s been a trend. I’ve seen people wearing them and I like them, so today I gave myself the chance to wear it and see how it looked. I think I like it! What do you think? Should I keep wearing it? At least it look kinda chic! Can you guess what I was cooking? So we got some homemade pâté brisé and poireaux! 🙂
Uffff, actually the kitchen smelled so freakin good! This is my first time cooking quiche au poireaux, but let me tell you that I’ve enjoyed it so much. I really hope it’s as good as it seems! We will try it tonight! By the way, today is Valentine’s Day!! Omggggg! Today I went to this street in Paris where there’s a lot of musical instrument stores. G recommended it to me, so I thought it could be nice to give it a try. So there I was, walking from Lafayette near Opera towards Rue Rome. I must say that once I got there, I spent about 15 minutes outside thinking “should I go in there?” I guess I was getting so nervous because it was lunch break and all the people that work there were having lunch sitting together at a table, soooo I opened the door (finally took some courage) and everyone looked at me. So first thing I said was “I don’t speak French, and sorry for interrupting, but you can keep eating, I’ll do my thing” and to be honest, what I didn’t want was to be the center of attention, so it was good that they were busy eating their meals while I was playing the piano in one of the corners.
Playing a little bit of Someone Like You by Adele. This is the first song I learnt how to play properly. I mean, the first song I chose to learn by just listening and watching videos. I love it, however, you can really tell that I need to practice more because indeed I haven’t played in such a long time (about 5-6 months), and I was also very shy. Hola 🙂The park that is behind my place. I like coming here to decompress. To think. To talk on the phone. To read. To look at the sun. I come here every now and then, and I enjoy the air being so fresh. I like Rueil Malmaison. Chillin’Quick selfie before going out. My original plan was to go work at a cute cozy cafe in Paris, buuut when I got the the station to take the RER I realized I had completely forgotten my navigo pass. At this point at just thought it was not worth paying like 3 or 4 tickets, so I decided to come back home. It was kinda boring, I must say. It was Saturday, the weather was great and I was at home doing nothing. At least it’s not something that happens regularly, plus the good part is that I cooked some homemade burgers for dinner and had a corona beer 🙂 My beautiful Eiffel Tower. I’m still mesmerized every time I look at it. Why? Why does it make my heart skip a beat every time I’m close to it?Luna bonita. Luna llena. Luna que me guía. Luna que no me abandona. Luna que brilla para mí. Cooking healthy tonight. Zucchini stuffed with goat cheese, ricotta cheese and some vegetables. It was pretty light but the flavor was great! Will definitely do it again. Okay, so one of my best friends recommended me this book but in Spanish. I got super excited because when I looked it up I just realized the author is French, so for obvious reasons, the original copy is sold in French.! Then I thought this was the best opportunity for me to practice and improve my French, so I bought it and I am really looking forward to start reading it! Updated picture for my resume. Does it look good? I think I like my outfit, but I’m still not very sure about my face expression. I don’t know if it would be better if I liked a little more serious to look more professional. What do you guys think? Should I keep it? 🙂My veggie pizza 🙂 it was actually pretty neat! Everything is made from scratch. From the dough, to the tomato sauce. It’s way more authentic. Definitely. Oh, pero qué vista! Qué bonita luna. Qué bonita estás, Paris. First thing I noticed from this picture is my rend fingers! Can you notice them? I was literally freezing! It was so cold and windy that day… And how dumb, I took a shower earlier that morning, so my head/hair was still humid 😦 It was slowly suffering! Also, let me tell you thaaaat we spent 4 hours up there! Whaaat? Yes, sir. And I’m not kidding! We went there around 4 with the pure intention to catch a good view with the sky being so blue. Then, we decided that it could be cool to stay and watch the sunset. After that my friend suggested that it could be neat to have a clean view of the city at night, and finally we decided to stay and see the Eiffel Tower sparkling! It sounds a little crazy. Maybe. However, it was literally worth it. Plus, we didn’t pay! It was the first Sunday of the month, so it was freakin free 🙂 Just a cool picture that I wanted to capture. Ps. I was afraid I was going to drop my phone and break it, lol. Me before going out. Haven’t worn my coat much. Somehow it reminds me of the flannels everyone wear in North Carolina. The ones I would actually wear on my trips camping. Am I getting more into the Frenchie type? I can’t help but stop by the boulangerie before coming home and get a baguette, some bread or a pastry. Even the owner of the place recognizes me already (of course I’m a regular costumer, lol). She’s super sweet by the way, and got super excited telling everyone that I’m from Mexico and that if you haven’t been there you should definitely go because it’s a gorgeous place! And it is indeed. Come visit Mexico with me =)A little more formal for my daily work routine. The difference is that I work from home. So no one gets to look at me, lol. Always my face and little bit of my neck, chest, but not really my outfit. Nerdy? Love the pink-ish sky. Isn’t it lovely?A very cute globe. I’ve always wanted one. But here is the thing. I don’t want a new one that I could potentially get on amazon or somewhere online. I want a vintage one. Isn’t it more artsy and cute? This one I found it in Montmartre. However, I haven’t been able to purchase one yet because I don’t want to accumulate a lot of things since I don’t know yet where I’m settling down in the future.A beautiful area surrounded by art, art and just art. Painters and musicians. This place feels like magic. Oh, and just in case you were wondering, yes, it does smell like weed everywhere, haha.Sacre Coeur from another angle. Plandid or candid? Its so funny because now that I’m looking at these pictures, I’m just realizing that the type of glasses I’m wearing plus the combination of my black coat and my turtle neck sweater make me look like a spy. Or is it only my idea? Also, I’m so serious in the picture. Why not smiling? This is a better picture, indeed. Smiley, spontaneous. And yes, this picture wasn’t planned, actually. My friend took it and I ended up loving it. It shows my easy going personally. The way I usually am when hanging out with friends and wandering on the streets. Always smiling. Always keeping a good attitude.Another spontaneous pic. Caught in the act. Trying to fix my scarf. -As a matter of fact, that actually is not my scarf. But we decided to exchange scarves with my friend so that our pictures looked different ;)-Took this while going to Grenelle in line 6. It says: Le coeur me battait fort quand j’arrivai à Paris. And yes, my heart skipped a beat when I saw the Eiffel Tower for the first time. And yes, I was out of breath the first time I put step on this wonderful city. Maybe it’s not the greatest idea to wear very long jeans, right? Especially when it’s pouring! And of course, getting pastry on my way back home from one of my favorite shops. It was pretty good, not going to lie. 🙂
